To witness history in the making, five from Little Eversden travelled to Whitechapel. They watched the casting of the Fosseys and Volans bells for St Helen's. Barbara Sach took the first ten pictures and Tim Clements, there to watch the casting of a bell for a Cornish church, took the next ten. The whole St Helen's bells adventure is recorded in St Helen's and in Tail Corn. 

Whitechapel Foundry traces its own history back for over five and a half centuries.

Look out for the chance to visit the bells at White's Bell Hangers in the Autumn - another historic step - before the six bells come home ... for Christmas?
