At long last work on St Helen's is nearing completion. These last few stones are being fitted, The "springling" around the new stonework continues. The new work still stands out. Inside, the floor is finished but not yet dry (so No Entry today). There is plenty of mud about so a frosty day on the 29th January would be good.

There have been dedicated craftsmen in the village now for many months. Soon they move on. When you look up at the tower and see, for example, how every flint has been carefully exposed, you get an inkling of the monumental and historic nature of the job they have done on St Helen's.
